Whilst this is not a question I've been asked personally, it is one that I've encountered time and time again.
There's disdain among musicians specifically those who are still trying to make their name on the music scene when they are expected to pay to perform.
I believe this is wrong as they are trying to earn a living just everybody else but I don't think there's harm in a few performances where they don't profit, as this helps them to develop their fan base.
